About Goa

Goa is unique and fascinating in many ways.

Situated on the western coast of India, Goa had become a popular hub for hippies and backpackers in 60s and 70s. Although the hippies have now disappeared, they left a part of their lifestyle in Goa. Goa still has those night markets and flea markets, which are so colorful and full of fun with great food, drinks and live music.

The beaches have rows of sacks, where you canspend all day just drinking beer, eating Goan food, taking massage from the locals or doing water-sports. Goa beaches are also famous for all night parties. People of Goa love music and you can hear guitar strumming or trumpet screaming when you walk past villages. Goan are friendly, easy-going and never in a hurry for anything. This makes the place easy and interesting for the tourists as well.

There are plenty of choices when comes to eating and drinking. Streets are full of bars, restaurants and cafes. Goan nightclubs are known for providing great music and ambiance. So one can never get bored in this place.

Goa has an interesting mixed culture of Indian and Portuguese. Until 1961, it was a Portuguese colony. Now, you can see Portuguese villas and churches all around Goa along with Hindu temples and Muslim mosques.

The landscape of Goa is equally interesting. While the beaches are stretched out on the west coast, there are green hills and valleys all around. Coconut trees fill the skyline and rice fields delight the eyes. Snow white churches and brightly painted houses add to the visual excitements.

Come to Goa. Once you have experienced it, you will come back again!
